Can't join Zoom meetings via desktop app "Please contact your IT team to update to the latest ver.."

Hello, my current version is 5.15.1. Can't join a meeting via Zoom desktop with message "Please contact your IT team to update to the latest version of Zoom."

Restarted my laptop but the same problem.

I believe there is a version released just today?

Same issue - also cant change /update or send cancellation updates to the attendees...horrible situation.

suspiciously this has happened after MS update

Yep. Opens Zoom (on Windows):
"your app version needs to be 5.14.5 or higher to sig in.
Please contact your IT team to update your app."

Hello? Hello? IT? - Oh that's right I am the IT Team (there is no one else btw)
Interestingly, I too have had an MS update. Other Android devices just updated easily.

Appreciate any help and urgent work-around.

I checked to see if I had a recent MS update and did not (at least, not after my last successful Zoom meeting).

Looks like I/we may have two options:
1. The zoom application can be downloaded from the following website. 
Download Center for Zoom Apps and Plugins | Zoom

Zoom Desktop Client
Phone, Meetings, Chat, Whiteboard and more for your desktop.
The web browser client will download automatically when you start or join your first Zoom meeting, and is also available for manual download here.
Download Version 5.17.7 (31859) (64-bit)


2. Use my Norton Software Updater

Didn't work for me.  I get to almost the last stage, and then get a "can't join the meeting without an update", even after downloading the update.
