I recently got a new laptop and somehow I can't seem to hear music on zoom meetings anymore. This has happened more than once now when everybody else is hearing the music, so the problem is not on the side of the person who is playing music (singing, sharing a recorded song or anything similar). I have tried changing the settings and when I change the audio output (for example I change from speakers to headphones), I can hear the sound for like 2 seconds, and then it starts filtering it out again. If I switch back, the same thing happens. Any ideas what to do?

Hi,
Could you try adjusting your audio settings within Zoom itself. Go to Settings > Audio > Audio Profile and select 'Original Sound'. There should also be a toggle in the meeting window for original sound.

Since you have given no specific details about which laptop with which OS it is difficult to give a specific answer. However, a number of manufacturers have altered the OS to enhance voice audio by default which can cut off music audio. Recommend looking at the manufacturer's forums for solutions.
