Can I transcribe without recording a meeting?

One work-around that I am exploring - based on comments on other posts - is to turn on closed captioning (and "view live transcript," though I'm not sure if that part is necessary). At the end of the meeting, prior to ending the meeting, go into "view live transcript" and click "save transcript" which appears at the bottom of the transcript bar. I think the closed captioning transcript is maybe not quite as good as an "official" transcript, but should be good enough for most purposes. (I am in a similar situation in which I need record of what was said, but recording video is not allowed, and audio-only recording does not work with local recordings.) Hope this is helpful.

I am also trying to find a way of saving transcripts without recording. In your options, I am able to see the live captions, but not sure where to go to save the transcript - where is this 'view live transcript' option?
