Breakout rooms and I pad

I was told that I couldn’t initiate breakout rooms for a 6 person meeting if I used my I pad. That I needed a computer rather than an I pad. Is that true/? Is there a work around?

Hi @Ponygirl. It is true that you would need to use the desktop app on a computer to initiate breakout rooms.

Have you heard of Zoom AI Companion?

@Bri I hope zoom is thinking seriously about a remedy to this, or I'll have to be looking for an alternative after regularly running zoom meetings internationally for the past 5 years.  iPads and iOS are both robust enough to manage a task as simple as breakout room creation and zoom is the only application now keeping me from leaving my laptop.  Zoom is tying itself to the past by arbitrarily withholding core functions needed to do meaningful work remotely.
