Blue background won't go away! I can't use MMHMM

I consider myself experienced with Zoom ... I use it DAILY and usually use MMHMM camera with it... well now I can't get rid of this virtual background to save my life. I have recorded a video showing that there is NO virtual background selected.. I really really need help because I am struggling teaching with it because I can no longer use mmhmm... help! SOLUTION: This background is due to the Video Conferencing feature in the new MacOS Sequoia, it can be disabled from the menu bar: Use video conferencing features on Mac - Apple Support.

I have similar issues, I have a constant blue background that will not go away no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall

    Thank you SO MUCH! This was driving me crazy. I need my computer for a meeting tomorrow where I can't have anything blocking participants' ability to see the room (such as the yucky blue background), so your response was really on time.

      THIS IS HUGE! I was on a support call for over two hours with zoom the other day and then had another hour long call with Apple support and they're calling me tonight after their "engineers" try to figure out the problem.... THANK YOU ... what a simple fix

         after turn on zoom meeting.  there will be an "video" icon shown on menu bar. Menu bar is on the top side of your screen.   find the video icon and click in. and there will be 'background' option.  and click it out.  you will find your background as non-virtual.

          I have the same problem. I am really frustrated and about to stop my subscription to zoom to see if maybe I can go to the free version to get rid of this problem.

          Can someone provide a little more detail about how to fix this?  I am not able to follow the directions posted.  Much appreciated and going crazy with this blue background!

          For marybeth or anyone else reading this thread, when you fire up Zoom, look on the Apple menu bar for a camera icon (mine's highlighted in green). Click this and you should see an option for 'background'. Clicking this will cycle between no background and a pale blue background.

            oh my god, I was having the same issue and struggling to remove it, thank you so much this really really helped - Thank you again. This was bothering me so much.
