Suddenly, about a week ago I started getting balloons or fireworks or thumbs up reactions popping up when I say certain phrases during a call. I need to remove this as it is very embarassing and distracting during client meetings. Has anyone successfully removed this?

Hi @ArleneW @Kangerphd these discssions within the community maybe help further clarify. This is a macOS feature not a Zoom Feature with the Use Reactions, Presenter Overlay, and other effects when videoconferencing on Mac

Hi Arlene,
I would start by disabling your reactions and gesture recognition in your Zoom Account:
Gesture recognition

Reactions

There is a big difference between seeing a raised hand during a class and the fireworks. How do I turn off the fireworks but still allow people to raise their hand?

I hate it so much. It sounds like it was an Apple change, not a Zoom thing. But the idea that everyone would want cute bubbles to be default behavior on every device just defies logic.
