Attendees can not hear shared video however I can

I am hosting a meeting and sharing my screen, all audio is heard by the group.. except when I played a video. the attendees could see the video however could not hear the sound. I could hear the sound on my end perfectly and I have done this video in the past many many times without issue.

Let's start with some basic info:

  • Version of Zoom being used
  • OS being used
  • Audio output device used for applications that 'work' during screen sharing
  • Audio output device the shared video application is using during screen sharing
  • Method being used to share video via Zoom (screen share, application share, direct video share, etc)

This info will help to inform next steps.
