Question

As a host, how to disable participants' use of filters?

I use Zoom to teach. My students know how to turn filters on. It's super distracting for them. How can I disable the use of their filters? Alternatively, how can their parents disable the use of Zoom filters?

Thank you.

Hello,

Your ability to control this depends on the circumstances of the situation.

Do your students receive their Zoom licences from your school or are these the private accounts of each student?

If  the Zoom account is provided by your school then your Zoom admin  can turn it off in the admins section > Meeting>Advanced> Video filters.

Regards

To Frank_TB above:

Could you please revisit this question?

If the Zoom account is NOT provided by the school, does the meeting administrator have the power to turn off kids' filters?  Alternatively, do parents have the power to turn off kids' filters?

Also, if SZ_Tech (below) is correct (which I'm sure they are, but I can't see the options on paid accounts), how can filters be turned off as of 01-2024?

The "video filters" choice no longer exists under the Meeting/Advanced menu
