Alternative Host Unable to Start Meeting

I attempted to list my boss as the "Alternative Host" so that she could start the meeting without me (the assistant who scheduled it). However, when she joined the meeting, it stated that she must "Wait for host to start the meeting." She used the same email address I listed for alternative host when she joined, and we both possess the Zoom Business subscription. I am unsure as to why it did not allow her to start the meeting despite being designated as the alternative host.

This is a common occurrence. They may have the regular link to join the meeting instead of the alternate host unique link. The general invite does not the unique alternative host link. This is only generated when you add the alternative host. You could use APIs to extract the alternative host unique link and share with them. If you are not a developer there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you resend the unique link to the alternative host and ensure they are able to start the meeting.
