On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Allowing participants to join in conference without downloading zoom

Hello, I wanted to ask is there a setting that i need to choose or turn on that will allow those invited to a meeting or conference to be able to join without downloading zoom. To make it a less stressful process for those who aren't so tech savvy?

Hi @ebony1 

 

In your web settings page, just ensure that Show a "Join from your browser" link is enabled. This will easily allow for those participants to see and click on the Join from your browser option when opening a meeting. No need to download the Zoom app if they join via the web browser version.

Participants can join via the web at  https://zoom.us/join
