Is there a way to allow customers to rearrange the screen, even when someone has raised their hand?

Hello @bhs67! Thank you for your suggestion. At this time, it isn’t possible to rearrange the video layouts in Zoom when someone has raised their hand because the “Raised Hand” indicator is tied to Zoom’s participant-ordering logic. When a hand is raised, Zoom automatically prioritizes that participant in the gallery or speaker view so users can quickly identify who wishes to speak. This automatic ordering ensures that meeting hosts and participants don’t miss requests for attention, which is especially important in larger meetings or webinars.

Because of this built-in behavior, manual rearrangement is temporarily disabled while a hand is raised. Once all hands are lowered, normal drag-and-drop rearranging becomes available again.

I do not see a reply.  I'll re-post.

For Toastmaster meetings, we commonly rearrange the faces on the display so the Speaker image is close to the webcam.

Looking at the "webcam / Speaker image" simultaneously, gives the impression, to the Speaker, that the audience is listening.

If we cannot place the Speaker image close to the webcam, it appears to the Speaker, that the audience is not listening.

We do not want to give the impression that we are ignoring the Speaker, because it is a boring Speech.

I suspect that there are thousands of Toastmaster clubs who use Zoom. There are quite likely more small groups than large groups who use Zoom.

It would be better if we could always rearrange the images on the screen.
