On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Admitting Participants to Zoom Meeting without a passcode

I scheduled an informational zoom meeting and found out that some people did not receive the passcode, they only received the link.  Is there a way to disable the passcode and let them in via the waiting room?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @BLESSED24.

This is possible, but depends on several factors. You must not be on a Basic account (Basic accounts require passcodes), and if you are on an account managed by your organization, they might have this ability disabled.

Assuming you meet the criteria: Edit the meeting, enable Waiting Room, then disable Passcodes and save the changes.

Attendees do have the link with Passcode embedded will not be affected; they’ll enter the Waiting Room, and Zoom will ignore the embedded Passcode.
