Active Speaker View Not Working

As the host, I am not showing as the main speaker on "speaker view." Other participants are showing up when they speak, but not me when I speak. It must be something in my settings because this happens on my backup laptop as well.

After digging a little deeper, I found a toggle under settings to allow me to show up as the speaker during calls. Wow. It has taken me weeks to figure this out!! Go under name, settings, video and then allow. Phew!! Doing the happy dance over here!!
