Hi all. We are organising a series of parallel events over Zoom. We want it so that the people involved in each session can just join at the beginning, without a 'host' being present. For this reason, we have 'Allow participants to join anytime'. However, it seems that the people joining can't create breakout rooms, without me going in to 'assign as host'?

Hello,
Your experience is designed behavior. You can allow participants to join your meeting at any time, but the host will need to open breakout rooms. No participant would be able to perform this function; the host has to create and open the rooms for them to be in use. You can find out more about this feature here: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0062540
I hope this helps and please make sure to mark the solution as accepted if this information is what you needed.
Thank you,
Jake
