ANNOUNCEMENTS DURING MEETINGS!!

For some unknown reason, Zoom has started really noisy and disruptive announcements that notify people when screen sharing has begun, when recording starts or ends, and when files are added to the chat. How on earth do I turn this off? It's awful!!!

Hi @GraceHazel, thank you for posting for the first time, and welcome to the Zoom Community!

Please check that you have the screen reader alerts disabled: Disable screen reader alerts

If you continue to hear screen reader announcements and are on a Mac computer, please follow these steps:

1. Choose the Apple menu from their mac > go to System Settings, then click Accessibility in the sidebar (you may need to scroll down).

2. Click VoiceOver on the right, then turn VoiceOver on or off.

3. Once done, uninstall and reinstall the Zoom desktop application per the instructions here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362983-Uninstalling-and-reinstalling-the-Zoom-applicati....

4. Disable screen reader alerts on Zoom

Let me know if that works!
