iCal Integration No Longer Works

As of this week Zoom no longer automatically prompts to add to the iCal calendar I've had connected to our account for over a year.

It said I had to sync a calendar, I went online - where there is no longer an iCal option (used Google instead since the email for that calendar is registered there) and it did not stick - endless loop.

What the heck is going on here and will this be repaired or returned to previous state so that I don't have to manually copy and paste the invite info into an iCal invite over and over again now?

It worked for me, but I needed to update Zoom via the toolbar dropdown menu:  "Zoom Workplace/Check for Updates".  It took a couple tries for the update to actually run, but keep hitting "Retry" when you get the Error message...

This is very frustrating. That was the main reason I was still using Zoom instead of Teams. Might cancel my subscription...

Yes, seriously considering cancelling my subscription.

Zoom is not explaining WHY it has stopped supporting its Apple customers. I am very unhappy with Zoom now.  This will inconvenience not just me, but the clients I serve who also use iCal.

This is not Ok with me.  I feel manipulated by Zoom. I had to spend an hour figuring this out today.  I am now forced to either use the new Zoom calendar system, or go to Google Calendar instead.  —  I propose we all just migrate our video conferencing to Google Meet.  —  Zoom, you are not cool with me anymore.  —  SEE YOU ALL ON GOOGLE MEET, INSTEAD OF ZOOM.

Zoom, PLEASE bring back iCal integration.  I have been a Zoom user since its inception, and I am COMPLETELY trained that creating a meeting makes it automatically get added to my calendar.  It's utter chaos now, because my meetings now longer show up on my calendar!! There is a 8-step process to do it manually, but good heavens that is NOT an acceptable part of my workflow!

This is happening to me too - I've been smoothly using Zoom integrated with iCal for my business for over 4 years now. This is seriously disappointing - I'm considering ending my subscription.

Hello Community Members,

We do apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

While the “iCal” option is still visible in the Zoom macOS desktop app, we want to clarify that this feature has never been fully supported by Zoom. Although it may have worked for some users in the past, recent updates to Zoom and macOS have introduced inconsistencies with its functionality.

Because of this, our backend team is actively working on developing a fully supported integration to ensure a more reliable and seamless experience moving forward.

We’ll be sure to share more details as soon as we have updates available.

In the meantime, we recommend using one of our fully supported calendar integrations—Google Calendar, Office 365, or Exchange—for the most consistent performance.

Thanks again for your understanding and for choosing Zoom.

This is insane to not only allow this to happen but also not inform your user base - fix it or I'm cancelling too.

I too am frustrated that Zoom scheduler no longer syncs with iCal. Why not?

Use of iCal has been supported by Zoom for all of my Apple devices - and those of my clients - for *years*. We expect more of Zoom than to be shunted off to other calendar utilities.

Zoom, when may we expect this to be fixed?

If you want Zoom Scheduler to automatically populate Apple Calendar events, that’s not possible today. Your best bet is either manually importing the ICS invite or using a third-party scheduler that supports iCloud + Zoom integration.  If you're deeply integrated into Apple’s ecosystem and want smooth scheduling with Apple Calendar (iCal), your best alternative to Zoom is FaceTime, Google Meet, or Webex, depending on your needs.

Perhaps Zoom should consider a new Marketing or Sales leader?  Do you know your customers?  Or are you willing to just cast off anyone who uses Apple?
