If I don’t see microphone options, am I muted?

I am attending my first zoom event, and I don’t see any sort of microphone option. I wish there was something confirming that I am muted. Does anyone know if the lack of any sort of mic display means that no one can hear me? I completely muted my computer mic after a minute but I’m just curious.

Hi @LilyElderling, and welcome to the Zoom Community! If you do not see the mic option, that usually means that the host has not allowed participants to unmute themselves.

At least, use a symbol for that like other platforms. Its very inconvenient if one can't figure out by just looking at the screen whether he/she is muted or not.
