Unauthorised Webinar Invites and Lack of Unsubscribe Option

I am writing to express my frustration regarding unauthorised webinar invitations I have been receiving.

  1. Unsolicited Invitations: I am being invited to webinars and meetings I did not sign up for. These invitations come from users who have added my email address without my consent.
  2. No Unsubscribe Option: The invitations lack an unsubscribe link, preventing me from removing myself from their mailing list. This raises privacy concerns and violates standard data protection practices.

Steps I have already taken:

  • Verified that I did not sign up for these webinars.
  • Attempted to find an unsubscribe or opt-out option but found none.

What I need to happen immediately:

  • Remove me from this particular user's invitation list to ensure I no longer receive further communications from them.
  • Implement measures to prevent my email address from being added to any Zoom webinars, meetings, or invitations in the future without my explicit permission.

I have not included any personal or identifiable information in line with your community guidelines. I trust that Zoom will take privacy concerns seriously and address this issue promptly.

Hello Community Members,

Thank you for your patience and continued support—we truly value your feedback.

We're excited to announce the rollout of our enhanced unsubscribe experience. For lower-tier webinar licenses, all webinar-related emails will now include an unsubscribe link at the bottom. With a single click, recipients can immediately unsubscribe from all webinar communications associated with that Zoom account.

If you change your mind, you’ll have the option to resubscribe right from the confirmation page—making the process quick and seamless.

To help us maintain a trusted email experience, please continue reporting any spam senders via the following link: https://zoom.us/trust-form.

Thank you for being a part of our community as we work to improve your Zoom experience.

I am having the exact same issue. I did not even have a Zoom account on this email, but have signed up just to see if there are account options to lock out the spammer. But there don't seem to be. I've gotten 6 spam invites from this guy in the last two weeks. It's ridiculous there is no option to prevent this or a very obvious unsubscribe/block inviter option when other webinar companies do offer it.

Yes! Me too! This seems to be a new (to me) thing and I've received several of these since December. I have tried setting rules in my Outlook, but there SHOULD be an Unsubscribe and Report button as well, like Webinarjam allows me to do! I have stopped a similar problem there by blocking and reporting those who were spamming me.  Zoom NEEDS to do this ASAP!

What kind of answer is that from Zoom

We are spamed and we have to then apply to Zoom for relief

Why doesn't the invite include an unsubscribe button or a spam button?

Same with me.

Increasing amount of SPAM

Why doesn't zoom include and unscribe button or a spam button?

Same issue

Reporting to Trust & Safety is a farce

I cannot get a "code" to submit after several retries

Why doesn't Zoom include an "unsubscribe" button or a "spam" button?

Is there a better solution than filling out the Trust & Safety form. That just puts more work on those of us who have been spammed. It's almost like a double punishment.

Can you please provide an update on how this will be handled in the future?

Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to report this issue. Our Trust & Safety team is working hard to take appropriate action based on the results of their ongoing investigation. You can help us by continuing to submit spam reports via the T&S webform: https://zoom.us/trust-form. We understand how frustrating this must be and are committed to finding a solution.

Maybe we should contact you by doing what is being done to us..... Getting a Zoom Webinar invite every hour on the hour every day for years to come. Maybe after you get calendar 24 calendar alerts every day, you might reconsider your position.  What's your email, so I can add it to my webinar emails?

MGSR, I appreciate that Zoom is working to make the app better for all involved, including those of us who are getting these invites from Spammers.

However, what option on the form should we select when we want to report aggressive spammers?

From the list:
Submit a Law Enforcement Request
Report Abusive Behavior or Content

Report Account Compromise

Report Fraud

Report Copyright or Trademark infringement
