On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Pause a webinar

Is there any way to pause a webinar, i.e. kick attendees out and return to practice session?  If not, there should be as that would handle executive session in meetings really well.

Well you can leave a session and come back after a certain time, but unless it was recorded previously you can not pause it.

I have had the people who need to attend executive session leave the webinar and go into a separate meeting as you suggest.  What I would LIKE TO DO is leave them where they are in PRACTICE mode so the attendees can't hear what is going on.

Hello @HarryG  one option to have if you would like to have the attendees back into the section is sending them into a breakout room. Would you be able to detail more about your use case? Thanks! 😃

This is a webinar, not a meeting.  I haven't seen breakout rooms in webinars (unfortunately).  Otherwise, I would do EXACTLY what you suggest - have the executive session in a breakout room.
