I am attempting to share a zoom video clip with someone. I've added her email address to my list as someone with whom I want to share this video. I give the person the link for the clip. Yet when the link is entered and she selects the download link, she gets an error that says, "The clip owner's admin turned off the download setting."
A few questions:
1) Does this person have to be "logged on" to zoom with that email address to download the clip?
2) Is there a way for me to share this clip (temporarily) with everyone regardless of whether or not they log in? I would only do so for as long as it takes this one person to download, and then I'd re-secure the permission.
Thanks for your help.

Hi @mag3rd, welcome to Zoom Community! If the clip is shared to invited members only, then they will need to sign in to their Zoom account with the same email address to view and download the clip. Currently, there is no way to share the clip temporarily with everyone. It would depend on the sharing permissions set by the admin for the entire account and the settings per clip by the user. Hope this helps. š

Permissioning clips can sometimes be challenging, but understanding the common issues can help resolve them quickly. One common problem is incorrect access settingsāensure the right users or groups have view, edit, or share permissions. Another issue might involve platform-specific restrictions, like file size limits or unsupported formats. Double-check that your clips comply with these requirements. Additionally, syncing delays can cause permissions to appear incorrectly, so allow some time or try refreshing the platform. Clear communication about permissions within your team also helps prevent errors. With careful setup and troubleshooting, you can streamline clip permissioning effectively.

Does this person have to be "logged on" to zoom with that email address to download the clip?
Yes, in most cases, the person must be logged into Zoom with the specific email address that has been granted permission to download the clip. Zoom links permissions to the associated email account to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access. If the recipient isnāt logged in or uses a different email, they may encounter an error. To avoid issues, confirm the email address matches the one linked to their Zoom account, and ensure theyāre logged in before attempting the download. This helps protect your content while ensuring seamless access for authorized users.
