WHY does Zoom keep enabling AI Companion for my org??

This is the THIRD time I have disabled it globally only to find that Zoom has re-enabled it.  This is apparently happening to many of my colleagues based on some recent threads in our Discord board.  Can someone explain to me how I can permanently and forever ban Zoom AI from being re-enabled?

Here’s how you can make Zoom’s AI features stay permanently disabled and minimize the risk of them being re-enabled after updates:

Step-by-Step: Disable Zoom AI Permanently

• Sign in as Account Admin or Owner
  Go to the Zoom Web Portal and sign in with admin privileges 1.

• Navigate to AI Settings
  Open Account Management → Account Settings → AI Companion tab 1.

• Turn Off Each AI Feature Individually
  Under the Meeting section, disable every AI option such as:

  • Meeting Summary
  • AI Companion Questions
  • Smart Recording, etc.
    Then, for each disabled feature, select “Hidden in Meetings toolbar” to remove its icon 1.

  • Use the Universal Toggle (if available)
    If your account type supports it (Pro, Business, Education, or Enterprise with Zoom Rooms license), flip theuniversal AI Companion toggle toOFF.
    This disables all AI features at once2.

  • Save Changes
    ClickSave after each modification to ensure persistence across meetings
    
    Please recheck Settings After Updates:
    Zoom updates may sometimes re-enable AI features automatically. Make it a routine to verify your AI settings after each update.
