AI Companion NOT making Transcripts
- AI Companion is installed, all buttons turned on, active
- Yesterday I recorded four different meetings. I turned on AI Companion and I turned off AI Companion each time.
- It is within the 24 hour window.
- Recording and Transcripts / Transcripts -> Nothing in Transcripts. Zero. "No results"
Where are my transcripts? How can I access them?
Thanks.

We've had some confusion about this, too. AI Companion primarily generates meeting summaries, not meeting transcripts (see below for the exception). If you are looking for a transcript, look at two options:
- Automated Captions: When automated captions are enabled and running, there are options to view or download the running transcript of the generated captions. The are in the host's Meeting settings (In-Meeting Advanced).
- Cloud Recording: When a meeting or webinar is recorded to the cloud, the host has the option to generate a transcript as well. This is in the host's Recording settings.
For AI Companion, there does seem to be a new setting to allow hosts to retain the transcript made for use by the AI. Previously, this was completely inaccessible. It looks like the account owner or administrator needs to enable it at the account or group level.
Note: All transcript file have many tags embedded indicating the date/time. Some also include the detected speaker. There are third-party apps that might do a cleaner job.

Dear @ebat ,
AI companion does not necessarily generate transcripts visible to the user. If you would like your cloud recorded meeting to be transcribed, please check that you have the following setting activated:
In your web account under "Settings" go to the tab "Recording" and make sure that the setting "Create audio transcript" is activated.

Not confusion... a bug. I had the same issue. At the start of the meeting, there was literally a message saying "transcription has started". Then, nothing. I did not record the meeting as you state above. But, if there will be no transcription output... don't show a flag message that "transcription has started".

Hey! It sounds like everything’s set up correctly, but sometimes transcripts can take a bit of time to show up. Here are a few things to check:
- Make sure the transcript option is fully enabled in your Zoom settings.
- If you’ve waited under 24 hours, try giving it a bit more time for the processing.
- Double-check if the transcripts are being saved in your Zoom cloud storage.
If none of this works, it might be worth reaching out to Zoom support to investigate.
