Zoom is muting the music on my zoom music lesson

Apparently there's a update (according to the Apple technician), where Zoom is muting background noise and only focusing on my voice.  They need to do an update option to turn off that function.  I take Zoom Music Composition lessons from a composer in England, and she needs to be able to hear the music I'm playing.  Apple technician suggested using Facetime Shareplay or Skype for now.

Thank you for your help.  My brother just found this article how to adjust sound settings for professional musicians.  It fixed the problem

It's a basic feature of Zoom that it uses pretty aggressive noise suppression by default.

If you are using a Mac or PC, you can set the zoom audio to "original sound" but you'll need to manually enable that in each lesson.  Alternatively, you can set the Zoom background noise reduction to "Low" instead of "Auto."
