When does the 40 minutes start?

WHY is it so hard to find the answer to this question?  I like to start the meeting a couple minutes early and wait for my language partner.  Does that effectively start the meeting or is it when she joins the meeting.  Seems like a simple question.  Can anyone tell me?

My understanding is that the meeting starts when you start it.  My understanding also is that once another person joins your meeting, the 40 minute limit trigger is set — so even if that person leaves sooner than 40 minutes after your meeting began, your meeting will end at the 40 minute duration point.

Hi Kimwill,

Yes, that would effectively start the meeting, it does not matter when the other participant is joining.

Thanks.

Kind Regards,
