Failure to open the Newly installed zoom program on Mac 12.2.1 - PLEASE HELP

I have a brand new Mac OS 12.2.1 - I've downloaded and installed zoom. When I try to open the app I get an error message that says "an error occurred while installing the selected updates". There are not any selected updates and the only option is to click on "install" which does nothing.

I've deleted and re-downloaded  and installed multiple times.  Please help me, I NEED to have zoom on this computer.

I'm having the same issue trying to install Zoom in a MacBook Air OS Ventura 13.1 - haven't found a fix.
