Why the size of zoom cloud recordings are smaller as compared to local recordings?

I recorded a webinar session of 1 hour in cloud and saw the file size is only 355 MB.. Same video if I store locally will be around 1 GB..

So why files in cloud are smaller?

So is there any quality difference if we store videos in cloud as compared to locally?
