What happens if an account is paused?

I don't quite understand the explanation provided when Zoom offers to pause rather than cancel a monthly account. What happens if I pause an account for 3 months and wish to use Zoom at the end of the 3 months for one meeting and then cancel the account at the end of 3 months.
