Very difficult time understanding business phone billing/ subscriptions

I had 4 users yesterday on my zoom company phone system. Tried to add one user---was billed for FIVE more lines. I can not tell what is for what and what licenses/ subscriptions are needed. They absolutely do this intentionally to cause billling errors and SURPRISE!! Theres no one to help you. What the heck.

Please help, I'm losing my mind.

I understand it can be confusing. If you check your invoice, you should also see a credit. I wish there was a clearer way to display the changes. What the system does is remove the previous number of users for the remaining amount of time on the service period. This creates a proration credit on your invoice. It then charges for the new number of licenses at a prorated amount for the remainder of the current service period. Look closely at the dates, and you will see that the charges only for the shorter time period.
