Upgrade a free account using one of my Zoom Business one licences

I have a Zoom Business one plan with 10 licences.

I want to use one of these licences for an email address that already has a free account.

When I try to use the email address, Zoom says it's already in use.

If I close the free account, will I be able to give the email address that was associated with that account one of my licences?

The free account has to be associated with your Business Plan account. If it’s on an account by itself, invite it to join your Business Plan:

If already on your account, or after joining your account, assign the license to the Basic user:
