When I try to open my app it says "Your app version needs to be at 5.11.4 or higher. Contact your IT team." I don't have an IT team. What am I supposed to do?

I was able to update the Zoom app on my laptop by uninstalling the app, and then doing a fresh new download of it. Here is a link to the steps which I found on another thread to solving this problem.

I'm having the same problem and when I try to install the new version and download the new version I am kicked into that screen so can't update. Help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Thanks.
Yours was the only helpful comment or reply.
Unfortunate that the company doesn't monitor their questions

Curious -- my problem is that I can't open the application because it is out of date. The steps in your link start with "open the desktop application," which is impossible! Has anyone figured out how to delete the application or update? The instructions on the Zoom site tell you to click on your profile picture and then select "Check for Updates"; however, when I click on my profile picture, that option is not available.
ALSO, do Zoom technical support people ever read and respond to these questions? How do you get actual TECHNICAL SUPPORT aside from the community?

In addition to this I left a question on the main help page at zoom.com. They got back to me via email with the solution described in this thread. When they could see that I had not yet implemented the solution they emailed again to see if I needed more help. I have been traveling and haven't had a chance to do the uninstall. Anyway - I found them very helpful - and everyone here as well!

DrDZ, try following the instructions on the following link:
The instructions are to remove/uninstall the application first, then re-install it. I was able to update the application this way.

I am told the same, that is,I need to upgrade my Zoom version to 5.11.4 or higher. I do not have an IT team consultant. I have been unsuccessful in making the required changes to correct the problem. Please help.
