Health Emergency Reporting

Hello,

We have had a couple of incidents where a colleague fell ill during a Zoom call and needed medical assistance.  Is there a way to add a button for reporting these instances to an internal security/safety/hr team so they can locate the person and call for assistance?

I've looked around and don't see that as a capability, but I know it's a needed function and we can't be the only ones with this issue.

Hey @Reiderje suggest looking into the knowledge base articles on Emergency Calling and Services as there are numerous options for routing emergency calls, etc.

Hello,

I have seen those resources and am not referencing Zoom calls or Zoom phones calling 911.  I'm referencing when on a Zoom meeting and a colleague collapses on camera, how can a person in that meeting report that there is a health emergency happening?

We've needed this for a long time.  In 2020, I started sharing my physical location, emgcy contact name/#, and local telephone number for emergency dispatch in the signature area of any email that was part of a zoom meeting invite, so that the person I was meeting with would have options in the event I had a medical emergency during our call.

Zoom should allow me to enter this information into my profile, and to give meeting participants the ability to retrieve the information through the app.  It could even prompt me first and give me a limited time to block it: "Participant <name> has requested your emergency contact info, which will be provided in <countdown> seconds." Buttons: DenyAccess, PermitAccess.  If I'm fine I can Deny.  If I'm incapacitated, they only have to wait 30 seconds and then they can start taking action.
