Hi,
I have received an email claiming to be from "Oracle Privacy - Zoom info"
starting as follows:
"This Notice of Sale or Sharing of Personal Data is to inform you of the sale or sharing of personal data about you ("Personal Data") from ZoomInfo Technologies LLC ("ZoomInfo") to Oracle Corporation ("Oracle") and supplements the information in the Personal Information Notice that ZoomInfo previously sent to you."
It goes on to say I can opt out of this happening by following a link. It is quite a detailed email.
I am 99% certain this is a phishing or scam email. It is quite clever and I can imagine it might seem legitimate without a lot of careful scrutiny.
Has anyone else received this?

Hi @Leylee and welcome to the Zoom Community! In addition to the information that @S_K provided, I want to clarify that ZoomInfo LLC is a software and data company completely separate and unrelated to Zoom Video Communications (us!). For assistance, you will probably want to reach out to ZoomInfo here.

I have received that same thing. It got past my employer's spam filter. If it is real, is is really poorly thought-through.
Then again - maybe they just don't want people opting out of the sale? 😉

I received this just now:
This Notice of Sale or Sharing of Personal Data is to inform you of the sale or sharing of personal data about you ("Personal Data") from ZoomInfo Technologies LLC ("ZoomInfo") to Oracle Corporation ("Oracle") and supplements the information in the Personal Information Notice that ZoomInfo previously sent to you.
You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Data to Oracle by clicking this link.
What the hell is going on? For once I am not sure what to do with this.

This is a scam. It's purpose is to confirm that your email address is valid and there is a human behind it. This was received by one of our directors this morning. All of the information links go to legitimate organisations (Oracle & Zoominfo) however the "opt-out" link, which takes you to a page that passes off as being Oracle, is on the godaddy registered domain the email originates from. The suggestion that your personal data will be sold is simply attempting to scare you into action. hth
