Zoom cannot now access my iMac contact list. How to fix?

Zoom contacts are no the same an general contacts. They are poeple you can communicate through Zoom.
 

To allow Zoom to access Apple contacts for meeting invites on iOS, enable the permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Contacts > Zoom. Once enabled, you can invite contacts directly within the app by navigating to the Contacts tab > Phone Contacts, or by tapping the "Participants" icon > "Invite" during a meeting. 

Please check your settings, apple is hot on privacy.

Steps to Access Apple Contacts in Zoom:

• Grant Permission: Go to your iPhone or iPad Settings app, tap Privacy & Security, then Contacts, and ensure the toggle for Zoom is enabled.
• Import Contacts: Open the Zoom app, go to the Contacts tab, and select Phone Contacts to view and invite people from your device's address book.
• Invite During Meeting: While in a meeting, tap Participants, then Invite, and choose to send an invitation via email or text message.
• Add New Contacts: If a contact is not in Zoom, you can add them via the Contacts tab by tapping the + icon and selecting Add a Contact.
