Updating Meeting Information does not Update on Synced Calendar

Post meeting creation, the sync of the calendar seems to stop.

If I create a meeting in the zoom client, it is added to my calendar in outlook. However, if I change meeting details on the zoom client, those changes are not reflected in meeting created on outlook. Does anyone have a workaround for this? Or is it necessary to update both the meetings on the zoom client and on the calendar?

I was experiencing the same issue of Outlook and Zoom client not syncing properly (I'd create a meeting in Outlook, it'd show up in Zoom but not pull the meeting name, and when I deleted a meeting in Outlook, it wouldn't delete in Zoom client, and I'd get a bunch of reminders about it). I worked with my company's IT team on it for HOURS and I think we found a solution - or at least some more troubleshooting tips that will hopefully be helpful!

Here's the solution that worked for me, from the IT expert: The Calendar and Contacts integration needs to be configured by selecting the Office 365 option and signing in to the company account. And the option for syncing event information bi-directionally between Zoom and integrated calendars needs to be turned on.

    To configure the integration:

    1) Log into your Zoom account

    2) On left sidebar, go to "Profile"

    3) Scroll down to "Others"

    4) Click "Configure Calendar and Contacts Service"

    5) Select "Office 365" and "Next"

    Then, enable the bi-directional sync:

    1) Log into your Zoom account (if you haven't already)

    2) On the left sidebar, go to "Settings"

    3) Click the "Calendar" tab from the list of options along the top row

    4) Toggle the slider bar to the right for this setting: "Automatically sync Zoom calendar events information bi-directionally between Zoom and integrated calendars."

After that, I restarted Zoom and Outlook and the sync started working for all newly created meetings! (I think it should also work for previously created meetings, but I didn't have a lot of those so didn't fully test it).

We started noticing these issues a couple of weeks ago. We spoke with a Zoom senior rep that advised about the reauthorization piece and mentioned this should fix non-recurring and most recurring meetings, however, depending on the recurring meeting in question, it may or may not show up under the Meetings tab in the Zoom desktop app on your laptop/workstation. It was explained this may be due to hosts that initially created the meeting had a recurrence expiration date set, and rather than create a new meeting when it expires, the host keeps extending the expiration date out. While on the call, we provided a Meeting ID where we did not see the recurring meeting on Today's meetings (more on this shortly). The rep stated he saw a laundry list of errors with this ID and suggested for the host to delete it and create a new one, which he did. That recurring meeting is today, and I am seeing it in Today's meetings.

The rep stated the way the Zoom app has always been working is the recurring meeting can only be seen under Today's meetings at the top, and on the next day of the recurrence, you will see it in Today's meetings. You will not see it if you scroll down to future days, again only on the day of the recurrence. If you want to see your recurring meetings, you need to scroll all the way down to the bottom to view them. I believe I recall seeing recurring meeting occurrences while scrolling down for each day. The Zoom rep said it was always set up the way I just described. I beg to differ. Something changed and they are not owning up to it. This is affecting many people in many companies and needs to be fixed on a much higher level.
