Restricting AI Companion for Meetings to a user or group

I have created a group in Zoom to restrict AI Companion for Workplace to a specific group.  It doesn't look like I can do the same for Meetings.  It only seems I can enable or disabled AI Companion for Meetings for the whole organization.

Is that correct?  Does anyone know if that functionality is upcoming?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @joelbook – It sounds like you want to enable AI Companion only for certain users, correct?

If so, here's what you can do:

If the account-level setting for AI Companion is locked, it applies universally, and group-level customization is not possible. To allow group-specific settings, the account-level lock must first be removed:

  1. Navigate to Account Management > Account Settings in the Zoom web portal.
  2. Under AI Companion > Meetings, ensure the toggle is not locked.

Then; Customize Group Settings.

  1. Go to User Management > Groups.
  2. Select the specific group/s where you want to enable / disable AI Companion for Meetings.
  3. Enable / Disable the AI Companion setting for the preferred group.
  4. Optional – Lock Settings for the Group to ensure it cannot be overridden by users in that group.

ArvinG - Thanks for the guidance.

I ended up enabling AI Companion in Account Settings but then basically disabling all features.  I then made a group for using AI with meetings and a separate one with AI on Workplaces.
