I propose a new feature for Zoom meetings that would enhance user engagement and information awareness.

Functionality:

  • Users can enable notifications for mentions of their name and/or specific keywords typed in the chat.
  • These notifications would be delivered through a customizable chime sound, allowing for a discreet and personalized alert.

Benefits:

  • Increased focus: Users can stay attentive during meetings without constantly monitoring the chat.
  • Improved participation: Timely notifications prompt users to react or contribute when their name or relevant keywords are mentioned.
  • Accessibility: Customizable chimes cater to different user preferences.

This feature would significantly improve the overall meeting experience by enabling users to stay informed and engaged in the conversation.
