Chrome: The app no longer launches

Recently (within the last week), when opening Zoom links (such as in calendar invites), the Zoom call will only open in the browser. Unlike before, the website does not attempt to open the meeting in the Zoom app.
It's pretty annoying. What's going on?

    hi @Kaschi007

    yes, as part of the process a browser window opens so that poeople without the app installed can launch from a browser, but users with the workplace app will see that launch.

    It is the most clean process they have found to cover all user needs.

    Please like and mark as the solution if this helps

    All the best

    Perhaps my English isn't the best (I'm not a native speaker), and perhaps that's why my problem hasn't come across clearly. But at least your answer doesn't solve my problem. Still, thanks for trying!

    @Kaschi007 ,

    No, I know what you mean and I do not understand how it works on all version, like Andriod and phones and ipads. I work mostly on desktops, but i will continue to investigate.

    I believe I am having the same problem. I launch the meeting from my zoom account meeting list in Chrome. The browser opens a new window with two buttons: one to join via the app and another to join via the browser. Then, the app automatically launches, spins for a while, and returns a 5003 error. I do not have a firewall enabled, no antivirus turned on. I have to join via the browser option as it is the only one that works. So, I installed FireFox. At first, everything worked. Then, this issue started there, too. Since the browser option does not have the same functionality, I’m thinking of cancelling my zoom account completely unless there is a way to fix this. I’ve tried uninstalling both Chrome and Zoom and reinstalling them. I’ve tried resetting my router. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
