Best Practices for Hosting Large Meetings With Reliable Screen Sharing
Hi everyone 👋
I’ve recently started hosting larger Zoom meetings (50+ participants) regularly, and I’m running into intermittent screen-sharing problems when more than one person tries to share at once in scheduled sessions. Sometimes the screen stops updating or participants report lag, even though my internet is stable.
Before posting here I searched to see if others have asked about this already, but I didn’t find the exact scenario I’m experiencing. I want to make sure I’m following Zoom best practices and not missing a setting that could help.
Here’s what I’m doing so far:
-
Enabling “Host only” screen sharing for large webinars.
-
Making sure all participants have the latest Zoom version.
-
Using stable wired internet for my meetings.
My questions for the community are:
-
Are there recommended settings in Zoom Meetings (for example, advanced sharing settings or bandwidth options) that improve reliability when many participants join?
-
Does screen sharing work better under a specific layout (e.g., gallery vs. speaker view) for large sessions?
-
Has anyone experienced improved performance by adjusting participant share privileges or Zoom account plan features?
Appreciate any tips especially settings that have worked for you or links to Zoom Community posts that cover this.
Thanks in advance! 🙌
