Automatic Recording Not Working for Personal Meetings

I have enabled automatic recordings on my account. However, whenever I start my meetings, they do not automatically record. I primarily use personal meetings instead of scheduled meetings.

Could you please assist me with resolving this issue?

hi @LouisTSwart ,

I think that is correct setting. automatic recording does not apply to personal meetings.
I suggest you start local recordings, or schedule them, even if it is only five minutes ahead and then start the meeting early.

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @LouisTSwart.

 

Setting automatic recording for your account (in Personal -> Settings -> Recording tab -> Automatic recording setting) only controls automatic recording in meetings with a generated meeting ID.

 

To make meetings started with your Personal Meeting ID automatically record, you need to change the PMI-specific settings.   Click Personal -> Meetings menu -> Personal Room tab...

... click the Edit button at the very bottom:

Then locate the Options section and click the Show link:

Click the Automatically record meeting checkbox then click Save:

For any meetings that you have already scheduled with your PMI before making this change, you modify each by clicking Edit, Options, and check the Automatically record meeting button.  But this should affect any future scheduled meetings with the PMI, as well as any ad hoc PMI meetings.
