Stop auto-adding meeting agenda doc when integrating with Google Calendar

I’ve noticed in the last few months that when I use the GCal integration to add a Zoom link to an event, it automatically adds a docs.zoom.us link for a meeting agenda. It adds it in an uneditable field, so I cannot delete this link, even though I don’t want to create meeting agendas via Zoom docs. This is confusing for my attendees as they can’t find the actual agenda, which I put in the description field.

Is this a setting I can turn off?

If you go to Settings > Schedule Meeting > Meeting Agenda. There is a checkbox “Allow meeting agenda creation when scheduling meetings through third-party calendars”

Uncheck that box and it removes the zoom doc from the calendar invites

Yes! Agreed!  Could someone from Zoom please reply to this and let us know how to delete/turn off what we don’t want and didn’t ask for? @zoom

Would love to be able to turn this off!

I would also like to turn this off. What a terrible feature. It links to an empty doc that I don’t want in the first place.

Yes! I came looking for a solution to this problem as well. It makes us look disorganized, especially when working with external partners. I combed through every corner of the settings I could, trying to unlink or turn off the agenda feature.
@zoom please address this!

Hello Community Members,

Currently, the automatic addition of the docs.zoom.us agenda link when using the Google Calendar integration is managed by Google Calendar's video call link settings. To prevent these links (including the Zoom Docs agenda link) from being added automatically to new events, you can adjust your Google Admin settings:

  1. Sign in to Google Admin.
  2. Go to Apps > GSuite > Calendar > Sharing Settings.
  3. Uncheck the Video calls option.
  4. Click Save.

This will stop automatic video call links from being added to new events, which should also prevent the uneditable docs.zoom.us agenda link from appearing

The challenge with this is that basically unembeds the “add a video call” integration to Google Calendar.

Also: I don’t have automatic video call links. I only add them manually, and I still have this issue. It makes me think it’s a deeper level integration issue.

MGSR, could you talk to your engineering team? I am quite sure there’s a way to customize what information is integrated into Google Calendar so that folks can decide which things are displayed (e.g. Zoom link only).

Lifesaver - FYI for my enterprise account it was Account Management > Account Settings > Meeting (tab at the top) > Meeting agenda and uncheck the same box.

Thrilled to hear there’s a setting, but I can’t find it? Just upgraded the Mac client to version 7. There’s no Schedule Meeting > Meeting Agenda in the Settings window. No idea if I have an enterprise account, but there’s no Account Management > Account Settings option visible either?

Help?

Search “Schedule” in the settings and it’ll come up.

Aha… it’s in the WEB application only, not the native Mac client.
