Backup options for Zoom Docs

I've started using docs but want option to back them up offline for in the case of an account compromise or similar disaster scenario.

Is there a method or any plans to add a method to do this?

If there was an API for docs I could probably do it myself.

Currently, Zoom Docs does not provide a built‑in method to export or back up documents offline. All Docs content is stored securely in Zoom’s cloud and tied to your account permissions.

If you want to keep an offline copy for disaster‑recovery or account‑compromise scenarios, the only available workaround is to manually export or copy the content. You can:

  • Open each document and use File → Download as PDF or Copy and paste the content into a local file.
  • Store those files in your organization’s secure backup system or encrypted drive.

If offline redundancy is critical for your workflow, it’s best to:

  1. Keep local copies of key documents manually.
  2. Use version control or shared drives (e.g., OneDrive, Google Drive, or internal storage) for additional backup.
  3. Monitor Zoom’s Developer Platform updates and Release Notes for any announcements about Docs API availability.
