I have enabled Zoom AI Companion as the owner of our account.  I would like to only allow this add-in for one user to test before we offer it house wide.  How do I select which user's can have this option enabled to start?

Hi @Joer115  - Hope you're doing well.

To enable Zoom AI Companion for only one user while keeping it disabled for others, you can manage this through Group Management in your Zoom admin settings. Here’s how to do it:

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal

    • Go to zoom.us and sign in as the Account Owner or an Admin.
  2. Create a Test Group

    • In the left navigation panel, select User Management → Groups.
    • Click Create Group.
    • Name it something like AI Companion Test Group.
    • Add only the user you want to test the feature with (you can add yourself if you’re the tester).
  3. Configure AI Companion Settings for the Group

    • After creating the group, click the group name.
    • Go to the Settings tab.
    • Under AI Companion, toggle Enable Zoom AI Companion to On.
    • Adjust specific AI features (e.g., Meeting Summary, Smart Recording, Team Chat Summaries) as needed.
    • Lock the settings if you want to prevent changes by the user.
  4. Disable AI Companion for Other Users

    • Go back to Account Management → Account Settings.
    • Under AI Companion, toggle the features Off at the account level.
    • This ensures that only the test group has access.
  5. Verify the Setup

    • Have the test user sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
    • Start a meeting and confirm that the AI Companion icon or options appear.
    • Other users should not see AI Companion features.

This approach allows you to safely pilot AI Companion with one user before enabling it organization-wide.

Hope this helps!
