Zoom recording

Just used zoom recording for first time. The recording took time to be compiled and then I hit an error before I could save it to my PC. Now the recording is not showing under recordings OR under Account Mgmt. Can I still retrieve it?

    I would suggest that you log a problem with Zoom Support at
    https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/requests/new so support team can check backend if recording is still available.

    I am assuming that you are referring to a local recording as the cloud recording will not have been affected by an error on you laptop.

    Depending on your operating system, by default, local recordings will be placed in following directory:

    • Windows: C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Zoom
    • Mac: /Users/[Username]/Documents/Zoom
    • Linux: home/[Username]/Documents/Zoom

    under a directory that has the following format: date of meeting or webinar | name of event.

     

    If there was an error during the file rendering/conversion, then you will need to:

    For versions 4.6.10 or higher, you can't convert local recording files by double-clicking the Zoom files. You must follow the steps below to manually convert the files:

    1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
    2. Click the Meetings tab.
    3. Click the Recorded tab.
    4. Select the meeting topic with the local recording.
    5. Click Convert.
