I wanna see messages beyond a year ago but its not letting me because it shows me an error that says “this setting is configured by your admin

I beliebe to be the admin since i made the account and no one has ever had access to it

This is usually the chat history retention setting.  Could be local or cloud.  If you have the right level of access, sign into the Zoom web portal, navigate to Account Management > Account Settings > Team Chat tab.  It's all the way at the bottom.  If you don't have access to that, you may be an Admin, but without the role assigned to you and would need a higher level Admin or Account Owner assign permissions for you to review and possibly update chat history settings.

bro what i legit made the account and i am the owner how do i assign myself to a higher level admin.
i had some files saved in my personal chat and its all gone thanks to this stupid update please fix it for me man i beg

If those messages are older than a year, then they were purged from the database and they are not recoverable.  
Given your permissions as the account owner in Zoom, you can log in to the web portal, go to Account Management > Reports > User Activity Reports tab > Chat History if you think that the messaging is within your chat history retention time period for cloud.  What you can access there is what's stored in the Zoom DB for chat.
