The software looks different than usual

I have two computers. I installed the software on one of them, and everything works fine. However, when I installed the software on the other computer, the camera's image quality is poor, the software looks different, there are fewer functions, and the virtual background doesn’t work well. It’s strange because it’s the same software version, the same camera, and the same Windows operating system.
Both computers are the same
Windows 10
i7 processor
Most updated version - 6.1.6
Brio 500 camera

This is the processor of the problematic computer, it is quite an old processor.

CPU Name
Genuine Intel® CPU 0  2.50GHz
Threading
1 CPU - 4 Core - 8 Threads
Frequency
2593.81 MHz (26 * 99.76 MHz)

Architecture

CPUID / Ext.

    Hello @Constantin Botezatu,

    Welcome to the Zoom Community!

Here are some possible reasons and troubleshooting steps for the differences you’re seeing between the two computers, even though the hardware, OS, camera, and Zoom version are the same:

    1. Graphics Drivers
    • Make sure both computers have the latest graphics drivers installed. Outdated or incompatible drivers can affect video quality and features like virtual backgrounds.
    1. Camera Drivers and Settings
    • Check that the Brio 500 camera drivers are up to date on both computers.
    • Open the camera settings (using Logitech software if available) and ensure the same settings are applied on both systems.
    1. Zoom Video Settings
    • Open Zoom on both computers and compare the video settings under Settings > Video. Make sure options like HD, Touch up my appearance, and hardware acceleration are set the same way.
    1. Windows Updates
    • Confirm that both computers have all the latest Windows 10 updates installed.
    1. Zoom Client Differences
    • Even with the same version, sometimes the installation may be corrupted or missing components. Try uninstalling Zoom completely on the problematic computer, then reinstalling it from the official Zoom download page.
    1. Virtual Background Requirements
    • Virtual backgrounds require certain hardware capabilities. If the feature is limited or not working well, check if “I have a green screen” is unchecked and that the computer meets the requirements for virtual backgrounds without a green screen. You can review requirements here: Zoom Virtual Background system requirements
    1. Windows User Account Differences
    • If you’re using different Windows user accounts, some settings or permissions may differ. Try running Zoom as an administrator.
    1. Security or Privacy Software
    • Antivirus or privacy software can sometimes interfere with camera quality or Zoom features. Temporarily disable such software to test.

If you try these steps and the issue persists, please let us know.
