Chat Box limit on characters?

Hi -- I'm wondering if there is a character limit in the chat box? Some times I have around 800 characters in a passage I need to share with my group and a message appears saying 'message is too long". Thanks

Hello Mark - Your response is not true! No way does the CHAT allow 4096 characters! I am cut off at around 500. Others on this forum have also asked why we need to be limited. My daily group usually have to share a passage or so of text, but we always have to type it twice or three times to get it into CHAT in segments. -janet, Senior Cook

Hello @seniorcook. I'm sorry for the confusion it is for the characters used not per word on the team chat. I apologize the updated character limit is 4000 not 4096. The limit is to prevent server load.

Yes, the chat is limited. As @MGSR said the limit was increased on the in meeting chat.
As this had been changed, make sure you are the latest version.

These limitations are applicable to paid Zoom accounts.
