problem hearing others when my microphone muted

Hi, I have a sound problem when I am on zoom with my phone. When I mute my mic I can not hear the other participants anymore. It is not that an issu until i join webinars or courses where mics are automaticaly muted. Please could you help ?

How are you muting your microphone? Can you describe the process you use for muting and unmuting.

The usual one: little mic icône on the bottom left of the screen.
