I teach a course at Stony Brook University via Zoom. I am using Linux Mint 64-bit versions for both the OS and Zoom app. I used to be able to place .pdf files in the chat window for my students to download with no problems for the last two years. However, in the last two weeks, whenever I do that, Zoom immediately crashes. Your automatic helper keeps referring to share screen crashes, but I don't have a problem with screen sharing. Also, I am definitely not using the 32-bit version. I'm beginning to suspect it could be the Linux kernel. I must be able to place .pdf files in the chat window, as I used to be able to in order to teach my course. I need immediate advice or help. I've sent crash reports as requested after the crashes.

An update: In past Zoom versions, I was able to simply drag a ,pdf file into the chat screen. However whenever I tried this now, it would completely crash Zoom. Apparently you now have to use the small file icon on the lower portion of the chat field, which allows you to browse files on your computer, and select them to be inserted in the chat. This works, although I found it more convenient to drag the file from my desktop or a file folder directly into the chat box.
