I have the same issue on a MacBook. I start typing and if I delete one letter or try to type in an accent (I teach French) then the Chat freezes. Only way to escape is to start a new meeting. Seeing how old the posts on this topic are, it seems that nothing has been solved! Very disappointing and I am considering switching to another platform. As a language teacher I need the accents!
