I am using Zoom ver. 5.8.0 on MacOS 11.5.2, Basic Account. As per release notes, 

 Enhanced rich text message capabilities allow for better chat messages formatting options. These opt... .  https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201361963-New-Updates-for-Mac-OS


The things I bolded are missing. 

 

Check the screenshot. There's no option for it in settings or in the web portal. I am the owner of this account

Hi @ThatManiac ,

 

I tested this feature on my MacOS 11.6 using Zoom client version 5.8.0 and I am able to bold my text in the Zoom chat without issue.

I will suggest removing the app then restart the computer then download from https://zoom.us/download to re-install it.
